This historic neighborhood was first popular as a vibrant artist community – boasting more artists than anywhere in the Midwest.  It has rapidly developed into a young professional and real estate haven, sprouting trendy restaurants and upscale shops along Damen Avenue.  The artistic spirit of the neighborhood comes alive each summer with the Bucktown Arts Fest each August and Around the Coyote Festival in September.
