Education Workshops
Every month the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection offers free workshops to help entrepreneurs find solutions to the challenges of being a business owner. Workshops cover subjects from how to start up a business, how to market, and how to finance.
Getting Ready for City Inspectors
This is one of the most valuable programs offered by the city. This workshop allows you to talk directly to representatives of all five departments involved in your city inspection. It takes place in City Hall, Room 805 on the first Wednesday of every month between 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Small Business Solution Station
The Solution Station is a service available Tuesdays through Thursdays at City Hall from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Experts from trusted non-profit organizations are available for free to assist you with business counseling, legal assistance, and financial and loan assistance. Take advantage of this program by calling (312) 744-5506 and making an appointment.
Business Works
This is a free business event for entrepreneurs where you can connect with agencies that assist small business and attend workshops that cover all the basic things you need to know to start your business.
