All residents in the 32nd Ward can leave their unwanted electronics in front of their residence before 8am. Please make sure the equipment is plainly visible from the street. Trucks will be sweeping the neighborhoods picking up equipment between 8:00 a.m. and approximately noon.

PC Rebuilders and Recyclers is happy to support Alderman Waguespack as we collect unwanted computer equipment and household electronics for no charge.

Electronics that will be accepted include:

  • Computer Equipment (includes anything that plugs into a computer)
  • TVs
  • DVD Players
  • VCR’s
  • PDA’s
  • MP3 Players
  • Video Equipment
  • Mobile Phones

PC Rebuilders and Recyclers’ primary goal is to reuse as much of the equipment collected as possible. If an individual piece of equipment is not suitable for reuse they will try to harvest parts for reuse or will send the equipment off for material recovery. They have adopted the Responsible Recycling best management practices that are being promoted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as the standards for processing materials that they receive from collection events.

Residents who don’t want to leave their equipment near the curb can drop it off at the Ward Yard at 1150 N Branch between 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Digital Data Destruction reports available for $10.00
