Chicago Cubs Charities will kick off the holiday season with day-long activities for fans and Lakeview residents at Wrigley Field, Nov. 30. The Cubs are partnering with WGN’s Morning Show for a live broadcast from Wrigley Field for the WGN Morning News “Drive-Thru Toy Drive.” Fans can help support deserving children during the holidays by bringing an unwrapped gift to the administrative entrance at Wrigley Field, Nov. 25 through Nov. 29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Nov. 30, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. All fans who donate a toy will receive a pass for one free skating session at the Rink at Wrigley during the 2012-2013 skating season (skate rental not included). Toys will be donated to Jennifer Hudson’s Julian D. King Gift Foundation.

Please help us make the holidays bright for all during the upcoming season of giving.

Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony
Last year’s inaugural Cubs Holiday Tree was a huge success and is returning for a second season. Please join us for the Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony under the Wrigley Field Marquee, Nov. 30, at 5 p.m. This year, David DeJesus and his family will help light the tree with local officials and community leaders. The celebration will feature free hot chocolate and ice skating from 5:30-6:30 p.m. (skate rental not included) with a guest appearance from Santa. The tree is designed by Christy Webber Landscapes.
