			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Full closure of Racine from Fullerton to Belden is necessary in multiple up- coming time frames in order to facilitate certain critical theatre school construction processes. The following dates and time frames has been scheduled for closure and confirmed with the Chicago Department of Transportation:</p>

<li>March 7th &amp; March 8th- from 8am on the 7th through to approximately 8pm on the 8th for crane delivery and erection.</li>

<li>March 19th &amp; March 20th- from 8am on the 19th through to approximately 8pm on the 20th for crane erection.</li>
</ul>
<p>DePaul&#8217;s contractor has agreed to follow all proper closure procedures in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Department of Transportation, to include placement of appropriate barricades and signage.</p>

<li>Owned the property, or have a lease or contract which makes them responsible for the real estate taxes, and</li>
<li>Used the property as a principal place of residence.</li>
</ul>
<p>To qualify for the Senior Freeze Exemption for the taxable year 2011 taxpayers must have:</p>
<ul>
<li>Been born prior to or in the year 1946,</li>
<li>A total household income of $55,000 or less for income tax year 2010,</li>
<li> Owned the property or had a legal, equitable or leasehold interest in the property on January 1, 2010 and January 1, 2011,</li>
<li>Used the property as a principal place of residence as of January 1, 2010 and January 1, 2011, and</li>
<li>Been liable for the payment of 2010 and 2011 property taxes.</li>
</ul>
<p>All Senior Freeze Exemption applications must be notarized.</p>
<p>Seniors receiving the Senior Citizen Exemption automatically receive the Homeowner Exemption. Seniors receiving the Senior Freeze Exemption automatically receive both the Homeowner and Senior Citizen Exemptions.  <strong>The deadline date for applying for the Senior Exemptions is March 28<sup>th</sup>.</strong></p>

<p>About This Crime:<br />
Strong Arm Robberies are occurring within the 14th District. The majority of victims targeted are lone females walking on the sidewalk by themselves. The offender usually approaches victims from behind and robs them of purses, money, and cell phones. Most of these incidents are occurring in the late evening and early morning hours, within the boundaries of Ashland to Central Park, Division to Diversey.</p>
<p>Offender Description:<br />
· Male black offender 18-39 years of age.<br />
· Height is 5&#8217;08&#8243;– 6&#8217;06&#8243;.<br />
· Weight is 150-180 pounds<br />
· In three incidents, offender was described as having dreadlocks.<br />
· Wearing a gray or brown hooded sweatshirt or a black puffy coat.</p>
<p>Wanted Vehicle:<br />
· 1990&#8242;s White Cadillac Deville &#8211; 4 door</p>
<p>What You Can Do:<br />
· Walk in pairs<br />
· Walk in well-lit areas<br />
· Do not walk while wearing earphones or headphones<br />
· Do not use other electronic devices which act as a distraction<br />
· Be aware of surroundings at all times, especially people behind you.<br />
· Be aware of this situation and alert neighbors in the area about this crime.<br />
· Pay special attention to any subjects loitering in the area<br />
· Call 911 if you observe any suspicious persons or activity</p>

		<description><![CDATA[On January 19th the City Council passed a new Ward map by a 41-8 vote. Alderman Waguespack voted against the map.
This map will not take effect until any legal issues are addressed and the City Council agrees on a date to implement the changes.
