Metra has embarked on a process to develop a new strategic plan, which will guide the agency for years to come. One of the key first steps in that process is to cement into place their mission, values, and vision so that they can use them to prioritize spending decisions.

Metra is asking key stakeholders -our board, our employees, our riders, and the public for their input. In this initial phase, Metra wants to hear your thoughts about the following questions:

  • What should Metra’s mission be?
  • What should  their vision for the future be?
  • What projects should Metra focus their energies and resources on?

Second, Metra soon will be holding the first round of open houses throughout the Chicago region, where riders and the public will be able to get more information about this process and offer their thoughts.
