Zoning
Zoning is a legislative method of regulating the types and sizes of structures that may be erected, population density, and the allowable uses on any given parcel. The City Council assigns a zoning classification to each parcel in the City based upon the desired land use characteristics for that area.
The process that Alderman Waguespack has instituted ensures that any proposal for zoning relief is reviewed in a consistent, objective, and informed manner. Carefully read the Zoning and Development Guidelines for the 32nd Ward and confirm that your proposed development or renovation project is consistent with them.
