Residents of the City of Chicago are entitled to enrollment in their attendance area elementary and high school. In order to determine your neighborhood attendance area school, go to the Chicago Public Schools school locator website.

Public schools may accept applications for enrollment from residents outside of their attendance area if they are not at capacity.

Chicago Public Schools offers many types of schools ranging from neighborhood schools, to magnets, to regional gifted centers. They are described on the CPS website.  On the CPS website, you can also find applications, school demographics, test scores and contact information.

Additional information on magnet schools and gifted centers can be found here.

In addition to strong public schools, our ward offers several other options for elementary and high school education. These include parochial as well as secular private institutions. Further information on Catholic schools can be found at http://schools.archchicago.org/.
