To qualify to register to vote, a person must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be at least 18 years old by Election Day
  • Have been a resident of the precinct at least 30 days prior to Election Day

How do I register?

There are many options to register to vote. We have applications in our office that you can mail into the Board of Elections. You can register at libraries and the Board of Election Headquarters (map).  You can also download the application here. You can register to vote online. You can also register to vote in person on Election Day and during early voting.

What do I need to register?

If you register in person, you need to present two forms of identification, at least one of which must show your present address. Acceptable forms of identification include your Driver’s License, state ID, utility bill, mail, paycheck, bank statement, or lease. If you register via mail, you will be asked to present these forms of ID the next time you vote.

When is the next election?

The primary for the presidential election will be March 17, 2020.        The general election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
