Bucktown 5K THIS WEEKEND - Please be prepared about tow alerts and no access during the race.

The 24th running of the Bucktown 5K will take place on Sunday, October 6th, benefiting Burr Elementary School. Please be advised of the road closures and "no parking" details. TOWING WILL BE IN EFFECT.


The City of Chicago requires the entire event route to be clear of vehicles and traffic. If you are driving within the race's footprint, please be aware that traffic aides may prevent you from crossing at intersections while runners are running for safety reasons. Please make sure to give yourself extra time when traveling.


Street Closures and no parking will begin overnight at 12AM Sunday, October 6th, and will reopen on a rolling basis by 10AM Sunday. Be advised, the City of Chicago will begin towing vehicles along the course by 3AM on Sunday.


Closures and no parking around the immediate event site (around Burr Elementary) will begin at 7AM on Saturday, October 5th and will reopen by 12PM Sunday, October 6th.
